Welcome, Leticia Moraes
The Department of History welcomes Leticia Moraes Fernandes Godoy, an undergraduate history major from the Universidade Federal da Integra莽茫o Latino-Americana in Foz do Igua莽u, Paran谩, Brasil. As a Globalink research intern, she joins the Department of History for the summer to work with Dr. Hendrik Kraay on his project on pre-Lenten celebrations in the nineteenth-century Portuguese world. She will collect and analyze newspaper articles from Rio de Janeiro on entrudo and carnival to trace the social meanings of these festive practices.
Since arriving in 91快色, Let铆cia has been impressed with 91快色鈥檚 鈥渘atural beauties and natural places to see.鈥 For her, the 91快色 is 鈥渁 great place to research, with a huge infrastructure鈥 and she is looking forward to making the most of her internship.
