On March 21, 2025, the 91快色 officially opened Quantum City's qHub, a 17,400 sq. ft. collaborative space designed to connect research, development and adoption of quantum technologies and solutions implementation. Located in the Alastair Ross Technology Centre (ARTC) within the University Innovation Quarter (UIQ), qHub is a key step in building Alberta鈥檚 quantum-enabling infrastructure within the growing ecosystem by bringing together experts, industry partners and emerging quantum talent.

"At the 91快色, we are deeply committed to fostering an environment where research excellence leads to tangible impact. We recognize that solving complex challenges - whether in energy, healthcare, secure communications, or computing 鈥 requires not only scientific expertise but also strong partnerships.Quantum City exemplifies this approach, bringing together academic research, industry, and government to create an ecosystem where innovation can thrive.鈥

Through its collaborative design, qHub will bring together quantum researchers, quantum technology creators and users through programs such as the Quantum City鈥檚 Global Challenge Series to address industry-specific challenges through quantum technologies by leveraging global talent and expertise. Further, the Scientist-in-Residence program based out of qHub offers tailored guidance to organizations exploring quantum solutions. With world-class research facilities, strong institutional support and a growing network of investors and technology adopters, Alberta is well-positioned to drive industry transformation through quantum advancements.

A Vision for the Future

鈥淲hat started as a vision鈥攖o position Alberta as a global leader in quantum solutions 鈥攈as rapidly taken shape thanks to the dedication, of this community. The journey to this day has been one of bold ambition, strategic partnerships and a relentless drive to transform quantum technologies into meaningful solutions."
Dr. Megan Lee, Managing Director, Quantum City

The opening of Quantum City鈥檚 qHub marks a significant step in advancing quantum research and technology in Alberta, providing researchers, businesses, and students with the space and resources to develop solutions. Innovation thrives in spaces that bring together great minds, and that is exactly what qHub represents.
