When Gail and David O'Brien established the O'Brien Institute for Public Health in 2019, they did so out of a passion for medicine and education 鈥� and a belief in the critical importance of public health. The institute brings together an interdisciplinary group of population and health services researchers, health practitioners, trainees, and decision-makers, working together toward a common goal: Better Health and Health Care.

One year into the COVID-19 pandemic, the institute has more than demonstrated its immeasurable value.
