Call for workshop ideas for this year鈥檚 U91快色 Student Leadership Conference
On Feb. 29, the 8th annual U91快色 Student Leadership Conference will bring together students, industry leaders and facilitators in a fulfilling day of panel discussions, skills workshops and peer-to-peer networking.
Formerly called Leadership Exchange, the renewed event takes a special look at developing skill awareness among students. Whether in a panel, a workshop or the keynote presentation, students will be prompted to ask themselves, 鈥淲hat kind of impact do I want to make?鈥
Join us 鈥 and help inspire students
The event is open to all U91快色 and high school students, and members of the community are invited to submit a workshop proposal that they feel would connect with this audience. Facilitators would deliver a one-hour session to between 20 and 50 students that focuses on developing personal resiliency, increasing leadership capacity, or building community.
The event
The keynote presentation will feature three high-profile members of the U91快色 and 91快色 communities, each providing a unique perspective on the day鈥檚 theme, Creating Impact.
Next, students will be introduced to leaders from a number of sectors in a variety of panel discussions with such topics as entrepreneurship, side hustle businesses, social changemaking, and women in leadership. There will also be panels centred around specific disciplines, including engineering, medical professions, research, and arts and culture.
The event is free for all U91快色 students and 91快色 high school students who register. A free lunch will be provided, as well as refreshments throughout the day.
